Your history, organized and protected.

Archival consulting for historical societies, community organizations, museums, and libraries
across Nova Scotia, with remote and travel engagements available further afield.
From a first-time records survey to a full digital preservation strategy, and everything in between.

Every organization has records worth keeping: meeting minutes, photographs, letters, ledgers, the paper trail of everything you’ve done. Sometimes that history is boxed up in a closet with no plan. Sometimes it’s a well-established archive that needs a second set of expert eyes. Swift Archival Solutions is here to work with both.

You don’t need a big budget or a background in archives to get started. Most of the organizations I work with are run by volunteers, doing this important work alongside everything else they already juggle, I meet you where you are and build a plan that actually fits your time, your team, and your resources, not a textbook version of what an archive “should” look like.

Based in Nova Scotia, I work with organizations throughout the province in person, and I’m also available remotely, and by travel arrangement, for clients further afield.

Why work with me:

  • Real hands-on experience with small organizations. I’ve founded and helped incorporate a heritage nonprofit myself, and I currently serve on the boards of three small community associations, a provincial board, as well as a town committee. I know what it’s like to chase paperwork, run a meeting with six busy people, and stretch a small budget.

  • Credentialed, senior-level expertise. Certified Archivist, with graduate training in both archives, records management, and heritage conservation: the same expertise larger institutions rely on, applied at a scale that works for smaller organizations.

  • No one-size fits all packages. Every organizations gets a plan scoped to its actual records, its actual volunteers, and its actual budget.
